Bertrand Export Brisbane / Prony Resources in New Caledonia, Melanesia: PMA tent L = 10 m x W = 6 m, air captive, pump, pressure regulator
For Bertrand Export Brisbane , we custom-made a PMA tent L = 10 m x W = 6 m, S = 60 m2, air captive, in 0.6 mm and 0.45 mm single-skin PVC envelope, with a removable ground sheet.
The inflatable medical tent is a mobile, versatile and easily transportable solution, and it was commissioned by the Australian company Bertrand Export Brisbane to be sent to the nickel and cobalt mine, the Prony Resources mining operation , in New Caledonia, Melanesia.
This is an inflatable medical shelter that is inflated with air using an electric pump; this inflatable module can be deployed on site in case of emergency, very quickly.
The PMA tent is delivered as a complete, turnkey kit, including the pump, pressure regulator, Lancelin Pro marine guy lines, ballast bags to be filled with sand…

Here is a 3D model, the final proof, presenting the concept of the Advanced Medical Post (PMA) tent, approved by the client. This custom-made inflatable shelter, manufactured by us, is air-locked, meaning it is inflated with air using an electric pump and a pressure regulator. The material used is single-layer 0.6 mm PVC with welded seams. On the front gable end, there is a canopy and a wide main entrance door. The shelter also includes windows and skylights with shutters and mosquito nets. Velcro strips on the roof are reserved for removable PVC banners, customized with printed markings. A ground sheet runs along the base of the walls and access doors. Metal rings and eyelets are distributed along the frame tubes for attaching the guy lines, which will be connected to the sandbags. Interfaces for air sleeves and electrical cable conduits are also present. – Photo: copyright FlyPix/Vivien LAÏLLE, all rights reserved.
Below: Different views from various angles, in 3D, highlighting the frame of the PMA inflatable tent; the inflatable structure’s frame tubes are interconnected, made of a single-skin 0.6 mm PVC envelope, with welded seams. This type of configuration provides very high structural resistance, especially with a half-moon tunnel shelter shape, which has the advantage of natural buttresses and a keystone.

- The total useful interior dimensions of the tent: L = 10 mxl = 6 mx H = 2.75 m, S = 60 m2.
- 1 main entrance door, 1 main exit door, WITHOUT a side door,
- Windows and skylights, transparent PVC, with mosquito nets, removable shutters,
- The kit will include 3 removable internal partition walls, with removable door, and Velcro strip fixings, allowing for 3 independent rooms.

Below: various 3D views, infographics designed and created by our graphic designer, showcasing different details of the PMA inflatable tent. This type of representation is very useful for visualizing all the information at once, such as the usable interior dimensions, the overall configuration, the finishes, the accessories, and the layout within the inflatable medical shelter. It is helpful to present the inflatable structure with and without the walls, from above and below, to clearly demonstrate its overall sturdiness.

Why don’t we offer OXFORD fabric for our shelters?
- We do not offer inflatable tents made of Oxford canvas, as the quality of this material is insufficient and unsuitable for the needs required on swimming pool construction sites.
- Under these working and construction conditions, Oxford fabric is too fragile and offers no resistance to abrasion and repeated use. That’s why our tents for pool installers are always made with 0.45 mm and 0.60 mm PVC casing.
- Too many problems caused by this Oxford fabric design (tears, abrasions, etc.). Many repairs and returns for after-sales service.
