Ceesar: Single-layer PVC inflatable tent with captive air, L = 2.5 x W = 2.5 x H = 2.5 m

As part of the implementation of prevention campaigns and practices for road safety, the company  CEESAR , based in Nanterre, in the department of Hauts-de-Seine in the Île-de-France region, asked FlyPix to custom-make a captive air inflatable tent with dimensions L = 2.5 m x x 2.5 m x H = 2.5 m.

This inflatable captive air shelter is entirely made of single-skin 0.6 mm PVC, inflated with air using an electric pump.

Purpose of the inflatable tent  :

• To conduct automotive braking and safety tests, and simulate accidents in outdoor environments,
• There will be a mannequin (a fake pedestrian) inside the tent, mounted on a rail.
• The door opens suddenly and the mannequin slides out along the rail.

The result obtained from the tent once construction was complete:

Shaped like a house, this inflatable tent inflates and sets up very quickly thanks to a powerful electric pump; it can be deployed in just a few minutes. Here is an example of the reversible electric pump we supply with the inflatable tent kit: in one direction, it injects and blows air into the inflatable structure; in the other direction, it removes air by drawing it outwards. Why don’t we offer  OXFORD fabric  for our shelters?

• We do not offer  inflatable tents  made of  Oxford canvas, as  the quality of this material is insufficient and unsuitable for the needs required on swimming pool construction sites.
• Under these working and construction conditions,  Oxford fabric is  too fragile and offers no resistance to abrasion and repeated use. That’s why our tents for pool installers are always made with 0.45 mm and 0.60 mm PVC casing.
• Too many problems caused by this  Oxford fabric design  (tears, abrasions, etc.). Many repairs and returns for after-sales service.
