Inflatables military shelters, custom-made in France
We offer inflatable shelters for military use, designed and manufactured to measure by us for the army, the air force or the navy. We are going to explain some concepts about inflatable shelters.
Our inflatable shelters are designed to meet the needs of rapid and easy logistical deployments, efficient and lightweight solutions, while taking up little space during troop mobilizations or the transport of military equipment to the necessary locations.
In cases of modern war conflicts, having military inflatable shelters, tents or hangars of different dimensions, volumes and surfaces can be a vital argument to ensure the rapid and dynamic protection of soldiers, troops, military personnel and paratroopers.
It also provides mobile tactical command centers for officers who need to make tactical and operational decisions, and manages military missions in the field discreetly and stealthily.
This includes inflatable shelter solutions for storing food, equipment, machinery, or medical resources; our inflatable tents are also used for the maintenance and repair of military vehicles or equipment, aircraft, or helicopters, protecting them from the elements, wind, rain, and dust.
There are 2 types of configurations for inflatable shelters:
Captive air, entirely in 0.45 mm PVC and 0.6 mm single or double skin PVC envelope with watertight frame tubes, with welded joints; in this case, the inflatable structures are inflated with air using an electric pump, and also a pressure regulator.
Permanently ventilated by turbine, entirely in 0.45 mm single or double skin PVC envelope, with sewn joints; in this case, the inflatable structures are permanently inflated with air with one or more electric turbines (depending on the dimensions and surfaces), there is always an excess air pressure in the frame tubes.
Large Inflatable Tunnel Tent with Clear Windows, Single PVC Cover, Military, Army, War, Custom Made, France, Flypix. In this example, it is a military inflatable shelter, composed of several half-moon tunnel modules, permanently inflated with air by turbines; these are ventilated inflatable structures entirely in 0.45 mm single-skin PVC envelope, with windows and daylight points to let the light through. We can see: a connection between the 2 modules, PVC Crystal windows and daylight points, banners printed with logo fixed by Velcro. An example of a military inflatable shelter with cut sides, composed of 2 modules L = 6 m x W = 6 m x H = 3 m, connected together, a captive air inflatable structure, inflated with an electric pump and a pressure regulator, manufactured by us in our workshops in France in Orléans.

The pressure regulator ensures that the pressure is always the same inside the frame tubes, which are also equipped with pressure relief valves.First aid tent made for the French Red Cross. Military inflatable shelters permanently ventilated by turbines
Permanently ventilated by a turbine
Single or double-skin 0.45 mm PVC envelope, stitched seams.
Exceptional reliability in industrial environments (leaks and abrasion are not a problem, as the system operates under permanent overpressure with pressure-controlled turbines).
The structure is not affected by small leaks or abrasions, because the turbines are in permanent operation and controlled at constant pressure.
Very fast inflation time (20 minutes) and complete deflation time (approximately 20 minutes, depending on the structure’s usable dimensions). Deployment time is shorter than with captive air of the same dimensions.
Constant pressure even with temperature variations.
Absorbs external pressure well, as it is more flexible.
Easier maintenance / no need to manage temperature variations.
Lighter structure weight with single-skin 0.45 mm PVC envelope.
Faster repair.
LNE France type M2 fire standard.

Points of attention:
Requires a reliable and continuous power supply,
Requires a backup generator,
More energy-intensive compared to captive air (permanently running turbines, 1 to several turbines of 1000 to 2500 W depending on the module dimensions)
Budget: On average, a permanently running turbine-ventilated system is 30 to 40% more economical than a captive air solution, with the same dimensions.

Military inflatable shelters, captive air, inflated with pump and pressure regulator
Captive air (pump + pressure regulator)
No pump in permanent operation (no turbine), autonomy,
Highly resistant PVC casing: 0.6 mm single or double skin PVC, but also heavier
Pressure relief valve in case of power outages.
Perfectly waterproof against rain and bad weather, welded joints.
Less energy-intensive than permanent turbine ventilation.
LNE France type M2 fire standard.

Points of attention:
Inflation and deflation time 2 to 3 hours (subject to change, varies depending on the usable dimensions of the structure), longer deployment than turbine ventilation, generally for the same dimensions.
Structure with a heavier weight (reinforcement welds), compared to 0.45 mm single or double skin PVC ventilation,
Requires multi-point regulation and continuous pressure monitoring (power outages are possible, but for a limited period of a few hours maximum). Higher pressure than ventilated, more stable.
Absorbs less external stress.
In the event of leaks or abrasion, the regulators are constantly activated (risk of overheating if leaks are not repaired).
Budget: On average, captive air is 30 to 40% more expensive than a permanently turbine-ventilated version of the same size.
