TEDIS: PMA inflatable tent with captive air system, L = 10 m x W = 6 m x H = 2.75 m, S = 60 m², pump, pressure regulator system

The company  TEDIS  entrusted us with the custom manufacturing of an inflatable PMA tent, intended to be shipped to Africa.
More specifically, we provided an inflatable shelter, advanced medical post (PMA tent), captive air, with usable dimensions L = 10 m x W = 6 m x H = 2.75 m.
This inflatable structure is made of 0.6 mm single-skin PVC, and it has a removable PVC ground sheet, a pump, 6 ballast bags to be filled with sand, and a pressure regulator.

We provide:

  • 3 Descenders, Paris Airport, Airbus, Alstom, Andra, French Army, Bouygues Bâtiment, Celeste Airships, Chantiers Modernes, CNES, CNRS, Colas, Colas Rail, French Red Cross, Red Crescent, EADS, EDF, Eurovia, Fayat, Flexi France, National Gendarmerie, Bolloré Group, IrvinGQ France SAS, French Navy, Marti Group, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of the Armed Forces, NJ Décobéton, Nexter, Noé Jacquier, Nouvetra, OGB Lux, Civil Protection, RATP, Razel-Bec, Sade, SAMU, SDIS, Sefrim Environnement, SMUR, SNCF, Sol Environnement, Technip, Thales, Valgo, Vinci, Wabtec…
This inflatable PMA ( Advanced Medical Post ) tent, manufactured for TEDIS , is a captive air inflatable structure with internal dimensions of 10m x 6m x 2.75m (L x W x H) and a surface area of 60m². The inflatable shelter is entirely made of single-layer 0.6mm PVC with welded seams. It features a large, removable 60m² groundsheet. The module is inflated with air using a reversible electric pump. The kit also includes six weights and a pressure regulator. This view shows the left side with windows and the front gable end, which includes an access canopy that protects against rain and inclement weather. This type of inflatable tent takes up little space when deflated and can be deployed very quickly on any type of terrain in an emergency.

The kit includes an electric pump and a pressure regulator, two essential accessories for inflating the PMA inflatable tent. The photo shows an example of a pressure regulator. Inflating a captive air shelter involves two steps: first, inflation with the electric pump to the required air capacity, and then connecting the pressure regulator. This regulator modulates and manages the pressure inside the inflatable tubes, adding or removing air depending on the pressure and ambient temperature. It stabilizes the air pressure within the tubes to compensate for the expansion or contraction of the inflatable structure. In addition to this device, there are overpressure and safety valves that expel air from the tubes in case of excessively rapid expansion. A pressure regulator is necessary for long-duration deployments, lasting several days. It compensates for pressure variations and changes in air expansion within the inflatable tubes, depending on atmospheric pressure, ambient temperature, and sunlight. There are also pressure relief valves that activate in case of rapid and significant overpressure or air expansion.

Here are two sand-filled ballast bags that fold up and take up very little space in the storage bag of the inflatable medical tent. These ballast bags were custom-made by us; they are entirely made of 0.45 mm PVC, with reinforcements, hems, rings, eyelets, and handles. – Copyright Vivien LAÏLLE / FlyPix – All rights reserved, reproduction prohibited.

Disinfection of inflatable PMA tents:

  • You can use conventional cleaning products, based on soaps, alcohol, or acetone.
  • Disinfectant aerosol spray products: we recommend spray disinfectants of the WYRITOL bactericidal and antiviral type.
  • You must ensure their antiviral and antibacterial properties.
  • Do not use chlorinated products which will tend to yellow transparent PVC or TPU (no chlorine or bleach).

We manufacture custom-made products in France, according to the needs and specifications of our clients:

  • Inflatable shelters,
  • Inflatable cabins,
  • Inflatable tents,
  • Inflatable hangars,
  • Inflatable playgrounds.

Types of construction or industrial sites:

  • Masonry,
  • Application of plaster or resins,
  • Roads and highways,
  • Floor coverings,
  • Renovations and restorations,
  • Earthworks,
  • Demolitions,
  • Soil remediation,
  • Excavations,
  • Painting, welding,
  • Work on swimming pools, basins,
  • Storage of equipment or materials.

We deliver  inflatable shelters and tents for construction and public works projects  in the following territories:

  • Metropolitan France ,
  • French overseas departments and territories Martinique, Guadeloupe, Réunion, Mayotte, New Caledonia, French Guiana,…
  • Europe:  Luxembourg, Belgium, Switzerland, Monaco,…
  • Francophone Africa:  Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Madagascar,…
  • Worldwide delivery available upon request.

Why don’t we offer  OXFORD fabric  for our shelters?

  • We do not offer  inflatable tents  made of  Oxford canvas, as  the quality of this material is insufficient and unsuitable for the needs required on swimming pool construction sites.
  • Under these working and construction conditions,  Oxford fabric is  too fragile and offers no resistance to abrasion and repeated use. That’s why our tents for pool installers are always made with 0.45 mm and 0.60 mm PVC casing.
  • Too many problems caused by this  Oxford fabric design  (tears, abrasions, etc.). Many repairs and returns for after-sales service.
